The Freedom Tower is on the National Register of Historic Places. The building served as a Cuban Refugee Center from 1962-1974, hence "Freedom Tower". Prior to that it housed The Miami News formerly known as The Miami Metropolis and WIOD broadcast from there for years.. This image was taken for a magazine cover because the Cuban flag was displayed on the front of the building.
