The name Raices Cubanas 1941 has a lot of history behind. In 1941 a man by the name of Romay Endemaño was born in Baez, Cuba. This man would eventually leave Cuba though and arrive in Danlis, Honduras. It is here that he began Fabrica de Tabacos Raíces Cubanas S. de R.L. This factory have produce a lot of famous cigars by many different cigar companies. Amount those companies like Casa Fernandez, Illusione, Alec Bradley, Viaje, La Palina, Ocean State Cigars and 262 Cigars have used this factory, and used it well. For a long time the factory has been making cigars for other companies, but never made one themselves with their name on it. Well, the time has come for them to make their own line.
Raices Cubanas 1941 meaning Cuban Roots, starts with a medium-brown Honduran wrapper that’s glistening with oils. A careful blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran long-fillers lies just beneath, encased in a Nicaraguan binder. The taste is totally smooth and creamy, but is punctuated by little punches of pepper and even has a slight taste of butter toffee. Medium-bodied and gradually increasing in strength as it burns, this top-quality, triple-capped handmade delivers a nice bit of power while remaining delightfully balanced. It’s obvious that the makers of this fine cigar are expert-level blenders.
The cigar was produced in 4 traditional sizes: Churchill, Gordo, Robusto and Toro.
