Fortunately, in this article, we'll review everything you need to know about La Flor Dominicana Solis. Finally, you can decide if you want to buy and enjoy this new La Flor Dominicana cigar. Read on to learn more.

The Release of La Flor Dominicana (Solis)

Back in 2015, the cigar company La Flor Dominicana released the cigar La Nox. This is a cigar that Tony, Little Gomez's son, blended. This cigar was a tribute to the concept of the night—and now, the company will be releasing a new cigar that's a tribute to the concept of the day.

This cigar is the Solis cigar. This time, it isn't Tony who is presenting this cigar. Instead, it's another son, Litto's youngest: Litto Jr.

This 22-year-old, along with his older brother and father, developed this new cigar.

In one way, this new cigar is similar to La Nox. It's a toro extra that's 6 1/2 x 50.

However, there's quite a difference in the blend of this cigar. Unlike La Nox, the Solis has an Ecuadorian Habano leaf wrapper and an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf binder.

Also, the Solis has a Dominican filler. This filler comes from the La Canela farm that belongs to the La Flor Dominica cigars company.

This company has described the cigar's profile as being charismatic and having power. They said that it has bright flavors that are nuanced through a spice range.

All of this combined, they say, makes the cigar undeniably La Flor Dominicana yet unique.

The Inspiration Behind La Flor Dominicana Solis

Little Gomez Jr., in a press release, said that he was inspired by the La Nox project his older brother created. He wanted to create something that would contrast it, so he created a cigar that he felt was different from La Nox.

He went on to explain that the personalities he and his brother have are pretty different. He wanted to reflect the difference in their personalities in the cigars that resulted.

He felt that the moon and sun were the perfect metaphor to describe them. Little Gomez Jr. worked with his father and brother on these limited edition cigars.

With his father, he worked on the project's blend. As for his older brother, he assisted with the artwork for the project.

Pricing and Other Details

One La Flor Dominicana Solis cigar is $12.20, with a box of 20 cigars being $244. Both Solis and La Nox utilize a circular box design, but there are significant differences in terms of their design and color schemes.

This cigar will be on display in the Las Vegas trade show, PCA 2022. The full name of this trade show is the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show. This trade show occurs on the dates of July 8th through 12th.

Currently, these cigars are in production. The La Flor Dominicana company is looking at a release date in the early fall or late summer.

The Solis cigar will have a release of the limited production type, like La Nox. This means that the limit on how many cigars will be sold isn't caused by there only being a specific number of them.

The limit, instead, is caused by there being a limitation in terms of the raw materials needed to create the cigar. Therefore, there won't be regular production of the cigar.

The History of La Flor Dominicana

La Flor Dominicana is a cigar company that started in 1996 in the city of Santiago in the Dominican Republic. Litto Gomez, the cigar maker, started the company and currently owns it. Litto Gomez, before becoming a cigar maker, was a jeweler.

However, after having had his Miami-based jewelry store robbed at gunpoint, he decided to start his cigar business. Now, the company is based in the Dominican Republic, in the city of Tamboril.

The original brand of La Flor Dominicana had a different name. The name was originally Los Libertadores.

Gomez has said that it took him a long time to refine the process he uses to make cigars as well as to bring the brand to the state it's in today. Specifically, he has said that this amount of time was between 15 and 20 years.

The inspiration for the brand's name is the tobacco plant's flower. When the tobacco plant flowers, this means that the growing cycle has come to its completion. This means that the tobacco plant, for reproduction, is ready.
