La Union a cigar that celebrates 20th annivarsary of friendship. Tatuaje for My Father boasts a shade-grown corojo 99 Nicaraguan wrapper, while La Union – My Father for Tatuaje flaunts an Ecuadorian habano wrapper. The eagerly anticipated red box Tatuaje showcases an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, while the Garcías' blend incorporates a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. All four cigars feature Nicaraguan tobacco grown by the García family for both the binder and fillers, including the unique golden pelo de oro, renowned for its color and cultivation challenges. Each cigar is a Prominente Especial, complete with a 109-style cap. The Tatuaje-blended versions sport covered feet, adding to their allure. The My Father versions, on the other hand, do not. Priced at $2,400, both boxes are limited to 1,500 per color, with 1,200 allocated to the U.S. market. Plus, each box includes a Limite Edition XIKAR Xi1 Perfect cutter. This release marks a celebratory milestone, honoring the 20th anniversary of the collaborative partnership between the two companies.
