This is a true premium cigar at a very reasonable price. The Eiroa farm produces the best Corojo on the planet...this is the original strain from Cuba, which can no longer be grown in Cuba due to susceptibility to a particular mold species. As far as I know, this original Corojo is only used in Eiroa, CLE, and Camacho brand cigars - all companies owned, or founded by, the Eiroa family.
This cigar is a Corojo puro (filler/binder/wrapper are all Corojo) and is one of the best I've smoked. The Camacho Corojo, also a puro, is another one I really enjoy, but they have a slightly different flavor profile due to all the other variables (different primings, construction techniques, fermentation, aging, etc.). Some days I want an Aladino, other days I want a Camacho. Both are excellent, and both spank the pants off of Cuban Partagas Serie D/E/P, which, these days, is probably as close as a Cuban cigar can get to tasting like Corojo.
Bottom line - I have multiple humidors with Cuban cigars aging in them, but I strongly prefer cigars that use Corojo from the Eiroa's farm over all of them, Cohibas included. According to my taste buds, this is the best tasting tobacco on the planet. Your mileage may vary, of course.
